directed by Leslie Iwerks

The matriarch of New Orleans’ rambling Brennan family and the force of nature behind the restaurants Brennan’s and Commander’s Palace, Ella Brennan, now 91, is a doyenne of hospitality and Creole cuisine. Fired by her own family at one point, she shouldered on in the industry, pushing her chefs to the forefront and helping to launch the celebrity chef phenomenon.
