The Annapolis Film Festival, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2012 to bring together the community through a shared film experience. The first annual Annapolis Film Festival was held in March 2013 and the eighth annual film festival is scheduled for March 26-29, 2020.
The vision for the Annapolis film festival is to establish Annapolis as a center for filmmakers to showcase different global perspectives and independent thought to a variety of audiences through their work. The long-term goal is to enhance growth both culturally and economically to the Annapolis area and throughout the region.
The mission of the Annapolis Film Festival is to encourage and grant the development of all aspects of the creative arts in and around Annapolis through the cinema experience. With independent films, panels and special showcases that will inspire, enlighten and entertain diverse audiences on a variety of topics, the festival will ensure the promotion of Annapolis as a cultural arts center. It will also define the economic impact on the town as community engagement broadens.
