Morgen is a Pacific-Northwest-raised, Minneapolis-based film programmer and festival operations manager with over a decade of experience running festivals like the Portland International Film Festival and the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival. He also ran the year-round screening program at Portland, Oregon’s Northwest Film Center for many years, with a focus on repertory programming on original screening formats and cutting-edge contemporary cinema. His main goals with film festival work are film discovery, creating equitable & safe spaces for all, and using the power of film to help improve our collective condition. In his spare time, Morgen is passionate about design, music, cycling, textile weaving, and spending time with his family. This is Morgen’s second year with the festival.
