Gary Jobson produced 1,200 television programs for ESPN between 1985 and 2016. He has covered the Olympic Games for NBC since 1988. Jobson has been Awarded two Emmy’s for the Olympics and Volvo Ocean Race and an Award for Cable Excellence (ACE) for his coverage of the America’s Cup. He is the author of 23 books on sailing topics. Jobson is an active public speaker. His undergraduate degree from the State University of New York is in Marine Transportation, his graduate work is Political Science. He was awarded a Doctorate of Letters from the State University of New York in 2005He has been inducted into the America’s Cup Hall of Fame and the National Sailing Hall of Fame. Jobson is a winning America’s Cup tactician and has a long record of winning sailboat races throughout the world. He and his wife Janice live in Annapolis, they have three grown daughters and five grandchildren.
