Nancy Murphy, CEO, CSR Communications
Nancy is CEO and Founder of CSR Communications, an organizational change consultancy specializing in the human dynamics that make organizational change possible. In 2018, she created the Intrapreneurs Influence Lab to help internal change agents lead change that sticks, with faster buy-in and less frustration and resistance.
Nancy’s previous experience includes a decade+ in consulting firms, leading APCO Worldwide’s corporate responsibility practice and then heading the D.C. office for Portland-based Metropolitan Group. She served as executive vice president and senior advisor for social innovation at Grantmakers for Effective Organizations and led international grantmaking for the Steve and Jean Case Foundation. She also held positions as a federal grant maker with AmeriCorps, youth volunteerism program director for a local volunteer center in Ohio, and policy director for a national nonprofit in Minnesota.
Nancy earned a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School, a master’s in health communication from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from the University of Dayton.
She served 11 years on the board of international nonprofit, Pact, including six years as board chair, and six years on the Taproot Foundation board, including three years as board chair. Her current board service includes Atlas Corps and Annapolis Film Festival.
