Simone Baskerville

Simone Baskerville is an interdisciplinary Production Artist with over 20 years of experience spanning production management, stage management, assistant camera work, and TV/Film producing. A graduate of Howard University’s Theatre Arts department, she holds a Master’s in Interdisciplinary Arts-Performance from Columbia College Chicago. Simone has traveled globally working with renowned companies and organizations. Her credits include: The Kennedy Center, Mosaic Theater Company of DC, Step Afrika!, Theater Alliance, and  True Colors Theater, as well as festivals like Capital Fringe and the Prague International Fringe Festival. In Film and TV, her work includes Kings from Queens (Peacock), Dance Moms... A New Era (A+E), First Lady of the BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story (BET), and The Black Godfather of Scuba (Tribeca Film Festival winner, PBS), and The Dreamer: Dave Chapelle (Netflix).

This is Simone’s first year with the Annapolis Film Festival, where she serves as Festival Coordinator. She is excited to bring her talents and skills to this dynamic event, sharing her passion for storytelling and her commitment to bringing important, necessary stories to the masses. Simone looks forward to contributing to the festival’s mission of elevating diverse voices and impactful narratives.
