Two childhood friends who have each lost a spouse meet up decades later at a fishing hole in the Colorado Rockies to gain a peek inside their future. Faye (Dale Dickey) is an ex-forest service pilot with time etched into her face who is equally at home setting lobster traps, tinkering under a busted auto, and launching fireworks into the night sky. When Lito (Wes Studi) arrives with wildflowers in hand, the couple begin a delicate dance with the easy intimacy that shows up with "those who knew you when." Writer/Director Max Walker-Silverman contrasts hyper-realistic details with surrealistic quirky accents while blending in the beauty of nature, a wistful musical score, and lyrical notes on loving and longing.
