While marine biologist Abby Jackson (played by Mia Wasikowska) is out on a boat researching the heart-breaking destruction of coral reefs, she's called back home with the news that her mother has fallen ill. Abby begins reflecting on her childhood and the powerful influence her activist mother, Dora (Radha Mitchell), had on her worldview. Through flashbacks, we meet teenage Abby (Ilsa Fogg), who is taking an increasing interest in protecting the bay where they live, driven by a bond she has formed with the wild blue groper that resides there. When Abby realizes that the fish is under threat, she and her ally Mad Macka (Eric Bana) takes on poachers to save her friend. This visually stunning film is perfect for the whole family to enjoy together.
