This stunningly beautiful CG-animated feature is based on ancient Slavic myths and legends, and inspired by the classic Ukrainian literature masterpiece “The Forest Song” by Lesya Ukrainka. The magical inhabitants include: Mavka - the Guardian of the Heart of the Forest – who faces an impossible choice between love and duty when she falls in love with a human - the talented young musician Lukas. Other characters include Swampy the Kittyfrog and grumpy forest noisekeeper Hush, the ancient Forest Guardian Lesh, and the mysterious water nymph Ondine, and the insidious and greedy Kylina accompanied by her minions.
